Serving on an HOA board is a real commitment. You're responsible for protecting property values, enforcing governing documents, managing community finances, and making decisions that affect every homeowner in your community. That's a lot — and most board members come into the role without formal training. 

Colorado's Division of Real Estate (DORA) runs the HOA Information and Resource Center, which provides education, guidance, and resources specifically for board members. Their content covers board responsibilities, financial management, dispute resolution, and Colorado-specific legal requirements under the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA).
